Hello, also known as Hello Fangaming, is a member who joined MFGG in 2006, and is known for the many different fangames and engines he's released at MFGG. He is the creator of the Hello Mario Engine, previously known as the Hello Engine.

Submissions

Many of Hello's earlier submissions were created using open-source engines provided by the community at the time, including the Trisoft Engine and the Ultramario Engine. This all ended a year after he joined MFGG when he started creating engines of his own. Hello, like most users on MFGG, started small, and has improved his work over time. His open source engines are used in many of his fangames, with the exception of many of his minigames, such as Yoshi Tanks.

Awards

Hello won the Minigame Competition #42 with the entry Present Panic. Hello also won Game of the Month on October 2008 for Super Luigi and the Golden Shrooms, and again on August 2010 for Super Mario Bros. Restless Reality. Additionally, Hello received awards during the MFGG Awards on 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2015 for several games, including Bowser's Recruitment, and the Hello Fangaming Collection.

Criticism

Many MFGGers have criticized Hello's works because of the use of overused graphics like the ones from SMB3, and Black Squirrel. In addition to this, his engine has been met with some heavy criticism for being overused, and for the lack of code comments. Hello has addressed the criticism, and has added code comments to the Hello Mario Engine.
