Draco Icebane, Draco Handsome, or that asshole is a standard member of the MFGG forums who joined October 22, 2001. Since then, his outspoken nature and unconventional morals have caused him to add a taste of ... interest to forum debates.

Draco is often blunt and crude, and cares very little for whether his wording offends those around him. Some claim he even goes out of his way to write offensively. Draco often refuses to back down in any argument regardless of the case against him, and may degrade the argument into insulting his opponent or emulating a Phoenix Wright case. This general mindset, one of great resolve or stubbornness, is met with varying degrees of approval or disapproval by his peers -- generally tending towards negative response from authorities.

Although arguably quite intelligent, Draco is not very well motivated and his patience leaves much to be desired. His fangame projects are rarely completed, although any progress he has made is at least modestly notable.

Draco is the only member who has acquired a two page warn log without an indefinite ban.

Achievements and Hobbies

Old Hexis screen

Draco starts and rarely finishes several projects primarily in Klik programs, such as Ultimate Mario and Hexis.

Ultimate Mario was announced as soon as Draco arrived, right there in his first topic or immediately after. He was much more polite in this larval stage, and was quite embarrassed when it was noted that his fangame was generating very loud sound effects for no reason. (It was repeatedly playing the Shine Get fanfare from Super Mario Sunshine over itself due to a coding error.)

Hexis was going to be submitted to a Minigame Competition -- For the King, back in 2005.

  • Mario Awesome - The standard "Let's make an awesome Mario fangame" deal. It is not finished.
  • Hexis - A puzzle game that was never finished either.
  • Fire Emblem Online - Ryo didn't do it
  • Origin of Mobius - Yeah like Draco can do an indepth RPG in any practical amount of time
  • Rockbell - If he finishes that Mega Man engine, maybe he can make this game!
  • There are several thousand other projects underway.

Some members suspect that Draco has a sort of mental disorder preventing him from concentrating on a single task at a time. It is more that Draco is an idealist who does not often have the patience to sit and work on a long-term project (other than useless and often broken PHP scripts.)

Artistic

Draco's skill in graphical arts is limited almost strictly to spriting and vector, which he is fairly competent at, but by no means legendary. Were his lack of motivation and patience to be skillfully defused, he would likely enter the competitions on the forums more often. As things stand now, he does not.

Draco is terrible at almost any form of physical / traditional art and generally dislikes the lot. The exception is standard drawing on paper, which he is nonetheless not very good at. (He's also a damn fine breakdancer.)

Controversy !!

Due to his tendency to argue with anyone over anything, even if he actually agrees with them, Draco is often an unwelcome addition to existing controversial topics.

Draco is considered a furry by most of the forums due to his affinity for characters who unfortunately happen to have somewhat more fur than usual, completely ignoring his acceptance of characters who don't have fur too (like lolis and stuff.) He also has a habit of drawing questionable anthropomorphic art, often suggestive nudity. Draco often explicitly mentions furries in vaguely related topics for the primary purpose of inciting minor disturbance in the Force.

Member History

Draco joined on October 22, 2001 on the ezBoard, where he released a demo of Ultimate Mario, the "worst best Mario game ever". It held one test level and a myriad of horrendous programming errors, not the least of which was playing extremely loud noises for no conceivable reason. This project has since been paused.

Constant arguments with the staff, Quickman and Cutman led to Draco receiving warns and bans at an alarming rate, which was only broken two years following with King Piranha Plant's arrival, a specific attempt to receive as many bans as possible.

Defiance of the Trasher

After Trasher had banned SonicProject for fifteen days, Draco was informed by SonicProject over AIM. Draco contacted FanGuy and asked him to take a look at the situation, without giving any suggestion of action. The result, at FanGuy's best judgment, was that SonicProject's ban was lowered, while Delmore and Trasher were suspended for five days. This sparked public outrage.

Draco then wrote a poem entitled "The Graven" to explain what had happened. Although it satirically villified Delmore and Trasher, it was generally well-accepted and recieved moderate praise. Draco was never issued any warning, verbal or actual, for its inappropriate timing or theme.

After That

Draco then participated in day-to-day minor offenses, eventually leading to a dramatic showdown between him and Yoshiman, who was attempting to prevent him from being permanently banned.

Draco was Permabanned on August 2, 2008.

Trivia

  • Draco isn't actually a damn fine breakdancer. That's a joke. He might practice though, to back up the talk with some walk.
