The term vector refers to either a mathematical equation that generates a line or parabola, or as an adjective for an image created with such as its medium. Vector is often saved in SVG format.
Vector graphics are utilized in some old arcade console titles, such as Asteroids, and are available extensively in programs such as Flash.
As vector graphics are computer-generated, they may be resized freely in realtime with little to no loss of quality, and no change to speak of in file size.
