Mario's Deadly Flight 2 is supernova's minigame for MFGG's Minigame Competition #16 - Space. MDF2 got a runner-up place in the competition in the end. However it received Game of the Month on MFGG around Feb 2012.
MDF2 is part of Supernova's Furby Saga.
Game Play
You're playing as Mario (or Luigi) on a jetpack moving around directional collecting starbits and avoid furbies and black holes. Numbers of starbits allows you to obtain certain type of weapon or regain health at certain time. Similar to the first installation - Mario's Deadly Flight, enemies will increase as round progresses and a boss will appear at every end of the round. However the game goes on forever.
Trivia
- The main enemies in the game are furbies based off from another Supernova's fangame: Mario and Luigi vs the furbies
- The group of mini furbies are based off from Space Invaders
- Black holes can affect anything in the game environment
- Music is messed up during the later all bosses round
