Toad Strikes Back is a fangame being created by Thunder Dragon. It is one of MFGG's most anticipated games, as it's first demo was spectacular at the time of release. Unlike most Mario games, the player controls Toad, who is able to perform most of Mario's attacks from the SMB series, as well as incorparating some more into the formula.

Toad is able to pick up vegetables as well as some other ememies like in SMB2, as well as "stomp" on some like in the classic Super Mario Bros. games. It was one of the first games to incorparate vegetable throwing as well as having Yoshi, hammer and fireflower powerups available to chose. Two demos have currently been released, a public one available on MFGG, and a FZ one only available at the Freak Zone Games forum (This version also including various references to other games, such as Super Mario Alpha). Progress on this game remains a mystery, with only a few screenshots in TD's signature to show that the game is still in development.

Toad Strikes Back is currently the second highest rated MFGG game, behind Mario: Pipe Network. It currently has a score of 9.5.
