In November 2010, DJ Yoshiman announced plans to split the MFGG forums into two distinct, separate entities: the MFGG forums, a fangaming-focused board which will continue to be connected to the main site, and The Minus World, which will include most of the community aspects of MFGG and a slight focus on development of independent games. The new MFGG forums are still under development, and the split quickly generated substantial controversy.

Administration
The Minus World opened with Kyori, Dex, and Chaoxys as Administrators, DavidCaruso and Elyk as Global Moderators, and Teddy, Zero Kirby, McKnackus I, and Alex as local Moderators. On December 7, 2010, Dex stepped down from his administrative position and became a regular member again.
