MFGG Subliminal 3

The video's title card.

MFGG Subliminal 3: 3rd Goddamn Time is the Charm is the third video in the unusual series created by Nnnk on May 17th, 2008, although it was officially released on the forum on May 26th, 2008 because of some delays. This video contains 514 of MFGG's most memorable pictures, one after another, all in a little under 4 minutes. The song featured in this video is King Dedede's Theme, from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl soundtrack. It is very similar to MFGG Subliminal and MFGG Subliminal 2: Stare Into It, but doesn't feature an extra scene, but in it's defense it's the longest by nearly a minute and a half.

Complications and Late Release

Nnnk had begun production of MFGG Subliminal 3, then known as MFGG Subliminal 3: SublimiNation, in September of 2007. There were some problems that hindered the release, and eventually cancelled it. Version 3.0, MFGG Sublimal 3: SublimiNation, was deleted once Nnnk had to bring his computer in to be wiped after some viruses attacked it.

Version 3.1 was being made on his temporary PC until his new computer came back from the shop, but afraid of getting another virus so early he just deleted the files and called it good.

Months passed and Nnnk decided to try again.

Version 3.2 was completed, but there was an error in the saving process due to some of the files being switched around by accident. And the pictures were then just deleted in anger.

Version 3.3, the final version, was made quickly, and by taking every precaution necessary.

Trivia:

  • A final version was released to three affiliates to see if anything should have been added or changed, but one of the affiliates said it was fine. It stayed that way and was released.
  • When it was originally posted on YouTube it was on a private server. After some complications he changed it to a public server, but changed the name to 'this definitely isn't what it looks like' to hide the release.
  • Becoming Insane by Infected Mushroom was considered for being the song in the final version, but it was in versions 3.0-3.2 and Nnnk decided that the song was just unlucky.
