Introduction
Mario Gamer was introduced to MFGG by SuperYoshi in 2001. He met SuperYoshi on SM128C's Message Boards earlier, and finally decided to visit MFGG after it coming up in several conversations. He learned to develop basic TGF skills and even started work on a game later that year with SuperYoshi. "Super Mario Legend of the Rainbow Stars". After the game was lost in a computer crash he dropped work on it. Several years later he joined MFGG's Message Boards after viewing it as a guest. He joined on September 1st, 2003. Completely not understanding the basics of Sprite Ripping, he was helped by several members.
Mario Gamer started out as a basic Mario edit. With short sleeves, no gloves, no mustache. He even had shorts at one time, but later extended his overalls to cover his legs. However many people forgot all these details and finally he decided to change to the current design on the right in late 2004.
Known for?
Mario Gamer is not a hugely popular member, but he has been around for awhile. He is probably mostly known for his number of badges. Being the only member to date to reach three rows, his current number is over 20 badges. He is one of the first members to visit Pixeltendo as well as MFGG at the same time. During board wars Mario Gamer trys to stay out of the way or try to stop it.
On May 1st, 2005 Mario Gamer launched a series of reviews which he calls Movie Munchies. They cover recent theatre released movies while explaining the good and bad of the film. As well as other things. Mario Gamer tends to stick to only reviewing movies he's seen in theatres but snuck a few DVDs in last year. Mario Gamer reviewed a total of 37 movies last year alone.
Relationships
Mario Gamer has made several friends over his three-year period on MFGG. Shadz,(also known as Shadow) probably known as he best friend who also visited Pixeltendo. They have produced sprites as well as the upcoming fan-game Mario Kart: Beanbean Circuit. Shadz mysteriously disappeared in early August of 2005. Another friend of Mario Gamer's is Yoshiman. Mario Gamer met Yoshiman in 2001 through SuperYoshi. They currently work on fangames together and often enter the Mini-game competitions. Naoshi, another one of Mario Gamer's friends, is best known as his AIM Friend. On account as he chats the most with him.
Mario Gamer was known for his constant arguements with certain members. These members include Rexator Birdo, Hanyou and more recently Mugenmidget. Although arguements are becoming less and less frequent over the years.
Goals
Mario Gamer's goals for 2006 are as fallows;
- Release Mario Kart: Beanbean Circuit before 2006 ends
- Review more movies then last year
- Make some new friends
Trivia
Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario answered my question,
MG - "After all the sports Mario plays, how is he still chubby?"
SM - "Even though he looks a little chubby he is kind of muscular in my opinion, I come to think about that and I myself try to be like Mario – not chubby, try to lose my weight even by a little, so Mario can be my role model when it comes to the weight control but if you think he’s chubby, maybe I should let him engage in more sports."
Started the whole sig badge craze back in 2003. (Before MFGG had it's own standard ones)
