Mario Sky Sumo was a highly popular fangame created by Attribute and Blueburn67. It stars Mario and his friends in Japan battling their way on top of skyscrapers in sumo matches.
Gameplay
Players compete on top of various arenas, with the goal being to push their opponent off the side. Energy is accumulated by tapping the up button while the push indicator is lit up, this increases the strength of the push. If the up button is pressed when the indicator is not lit, some energy is taken away from the player. Like in Mario Kart, various items appear including mushrooms, shells and starmen. These can be used by pressing the down button and have a variety of effects. There are 8 playable characters with varying stats, some have to be unlocked while others are available at the game's start.
The main game can be played with one or two players, there is also a training dojo that includes a shop where additional content can be purchased.
