FIFAD

An avatar fad started by FuPoo in June 2006 because of the FIFA World Cup in Germany. Basically, the idea was to make 200x200 pixel avatars with the member's fan-made character, dressed in the football/soccer strip of their chosen country, and have their country's flag in the top left hand corner. As there wasn't actually any playing involved between members, the avatars were considered to be a method of supporting the chosen team (Even though half the avatars weren't actually based on countries that were playing).

Many members participated, whether they liked the sport or not, and a topic was made for each match in the PPP, where the avatars related to the countries that were playing were grouped together.
