Yoshbert is just basically an orange Yoshi wearing a Cape Feather on his head.  His character is also part of the supporting cast of his sprite comic series, Mushroom Acres (known as Goombobby and Friends at other places).  In the comic, Yoshbert always tries to find a way to win the heart of Princess Daisy, but always fails miserably.  Yoshbert also has an evil alter ego, '''Mr. Y''', which usually activates when he's bonked on the head.  He returns to his normal self when hit on the head again.
