Contents
Gameplay
The player controls Bowser, who is in a rope conveyor belt. In the left side of the screen is a orange pipe, which let's out Goomba's and Toad's. Bowser can roar and wake them up, where waking up a Goomba will earn him a point while waking up a Toad doesn't do anything. If the Toad's fall in the lava, Bowser will earn a point while letting the Goomba's fall into the lava will cost Bowser a life. Hazards occasionally show up, most of which can make Bowser lose a life in contact.
Hazards
- Gordo - Enemies from the Kirby series that just does nothing, but sit down on the rope conveyor belt, being sent to the lava.
- Podoboo - Creatures that jump out of the lava from time to time, trying to burn Bowser.
- Thwomp - Enemies that will sometimes fall down into the rope conveyor belt, trying to crush Bowser.
- Bullet Bill - Bullets that will sometimes fire from the right side of the screen.
- Bob-omb - Sleeping bombs that will blow up shortly after Bowser wakes them up. Their explosion can wake up the Goombas and Toads in contact.
Items
- 1-Up Mushroom - Mushrooms that will give Bowser an extra life.
- Star - Gives Bowser temporary invincibility, and the ability to wake up the Goombas, Toads, and Bob-ombs in contact.
- Goomba Switch - Transforms everything on the rope conveyor belt (except for Bowser) into Goombas, and temporarily makes the orange pipe spawn only Goombas.
Reception
WAKE UP BEFORE YOU GET KILLED, MINIONS! won first place in a Minigame Competition, and it received several reviews in the main site, which ranged from mixed to positive. They praised it's unique concept and the controls, but criticized the fact that it can get boring fast.
