Summary

Vitiman is a member who didn't like and wasn't liked much on MFGG. He has been working on (canned) Project MFGG Tennis 64 and Advance. Advance was made in Flash, but was also canned. Pre-split, he was most known for being a thorn in several member's sides and causing trouble among PPP, CCC, and Lounge regulars alike.

History

Vitiman joined on November 21, 2006 under the misspelled name "Nonsince" (although a later name change would resolve this). He was originally very prideful of his ability (and as pointed out by several, too prideful) and would berate anyone who tried giving him constructive criticism. Sooner, he became more pessimistic; instead of having any pride in his works, he lost all hope whenever negative attention was brought on. This can be observed pretty clearly in the comments of some of his submissions. An example of this can be seen in his review of Late Night Mario, a joke game made by Glukom. He called all the other reviewers out for giving it high scores and dubbed them "trolls", missing the point of the game and the other reviews entirely. After some negative attention, he announced he would just remove the review because of the backlash, which was met with disappointment.

Interactions

Vitiman has had disputes with kapworld, Neopolis, and TFGD because of their "sarcastic personalities" in Vitiman's opinion, although in retrospect, this was more or less the norm at the time. While Vitiman didn't get along well with most MFGGers, Vitiman felt that he was a good spriter and was eager to join any teams in need of one, again, showing his obsessive pride. As of recent though, Vitiman turned to writing as his better talent. Vitiman would also join in on many fads, notably during the Taloncrossing era. Of these, he would sometimes try and start his own fads, usually ending in the thread dying or being derailed into a different conversation. In June 2010, Vitiman left the forums for nearly 2 years, and sometimes came back to see if anything changed. To his surprise, he and Madox were informed the forums had split during his absence by Dex. Even though he would occasionally visit this incarnation of the community (dubbed the Minus World), he never truly frequented it. In mid 2012, he and Madox committed account suicide on the MW via petty trolling, which Vitiman ended up regretting.

Return & Currently

Vitiman joined the latest iteration of the MFGG forums on June 18, 2012, as "Stalin", even with the communist flag as his signature. He registered as a joke, having grown frustrated with the Minus World community, and assuming most of MFGG would be more or less the same. To his surprise, however, most of that community had vanished from the new MFGG. He soon became a quality contributor, and three days later he changed his mainsite and forum account names to Vitiman.

Finally, on October 5th, 2012, Vitiman announced his leave from MFGG, now having to focus on being responsible according to his goodbye post. While not much else was revealed in why he left, his return didn't seem too likely at the time. Regardless, he began making semi-regular visits again a month or so after this announcement, presumably having whatever made him announce his departure under control. It's unknown if he will disappear again, although he has had a tendency in the past to announce his leave somewhere only to make a return not too long afterwards.

Vitiman later changed his name to Rystar as he continued his tradition of intentionally-misspelled usernames. He worked on the Super Charisma Bros. joke game series and earned some critical acclaim for his Queen parody album, "A Night of Fangames." Since then, he has announced his departure on three different occasions, every time leading to him returning a few days later. He has admitted on a few occasions of this problem, and had noted that he had been going through a rough patch in his life during the initial departure, and the other two occurrences were most likely a side-effect of the event. As of now, this problem looks to be dormant and/or gone completely, so it's entirely possible that he did manage to work against the issue, but never spoke about it.

Currently, Vitiman/Rystar is a relatively low-key contributor of MFGG, and seems to have shaped up well in comparison to his sporadic and immature past self back in 2006.

Trivia

  • Vitiman's favorite game is Yoshi's Island
  • Vitiman makes fangames that usually get canned, more than likely a direct result of being a large procrastinator with projects.
  • Vitiman's best friend on MFGG was Zappy/Madox, prior to their falling out.
  • Vitiman, while probably not notable, has Asperger's syndrome, and might explain some of his quirky or otherwise bizarre behavior, especially during the Taloncrossing incarnation of MFGG.
  • Vitiman had an unhealthy obsession with LuigiFan, to the point where his personal Web site used to be "www.lufa.com" and his location was "LuigiFan's Mansion", and has admitted it was an irrelevant conversation about a .gif file that lead Vitiman to believe LuigiFan was a close friend, something undoubtedly linked to the above trivia piece.
  • Despite not being liked by some members, he is often considered one of the better "average" members on MFGG due to having a likable personality.
  • Vitiman was previously well known as "Ike Bravo", but he reverted back to Vitiman, without the Mega and Z.
  • Although his favorite game is Yoshi's Island, Vitiman is an avid fan of the Mega Man franchise.
