Char is an MFGGer who joined Mario Fan Games Galaxy on October 19th, 2006, and the MFGG Forums about a week later on October 25th, 2006. He is one of the few Indian MFGGers, although he is by far the most well-known one.

Arrival at the MFGG Forums

Char joined the MFGG Forums on October 25th, 2006. He used to mainly help out people in the Help! forum but he didn't post much. He was called Elite Charizard back then and categorized as a 'n00b'.

Better Years

Towards the end of 2007, Char started becoming more active on MFGG. He posted more, especially in the Casual Conversation Castle when it opened, and befriended a lot of members. He started publishing fangames and sprite rips to the main site. In this time period, he ripped a lot of WarioWare sprites, and made Boo Escape, which got a 9/10 on MFGG, quite good for his first game.

Fan-Games

Char has made quite a few fangames. So far, he has made over 12 fangames. His best games so far are Eternal Mansion and An Aquatic Pokemon Tale, the latter which won a First Place in its respective Mini-Game Competitions, which was also the first Mini-Game Competition that allowed non-Mario characters.

Promotion

Sometime in May of 2009, Char was promoted to a Moderator of the Casual Conversation Castle. Due to his awkward timezone, the "daytime Americans" were annoyed because they barely knew him and thought he was promoted because "hes my frndz xD". But eventually he was received nicely. When MFGG moved to the new boards, he, like all other local moderators, were promoted to Global Moderator. On December 31st, 2009, just in time for the next decade, he was promoted to Administrator. Sometime in mid-2010, he was also promoted to Quality Control on the main site.

Resignation

On May 26th, 2010, Char resigned as admin along with Guinea because he was fed up with the attitude of MFGG, among other things. His resignation topic is here (dead link). However, he did not step down to a member. He stepped down to a local moderator of Help! forums. On August 20th, 2010, he was "promoted" to a Tech Admin. He was never really promoted though, since he had those powers since his resignation.

MFGG 3.0

For a while, Char was involved in the creation of MFGG Mainsite 3.0. On November 8th, 2010, he took over Retriever II's position as Webmaster, although RII continues to host MFGG. Char was one of the more active staff members during the first year after The Split, but he stop posting actively during the fall of 2011, and no one has heard from him since the end of 2011. He is believed to be busy with real-life pursuits, but since no one has been able to contact him in any way, his current status is unclear. With Char apparently gone for good, others will have to take care of programming a new MFGG mainsite since there's no further knowledge on Char's GalaxySMS. lumaSMS is the new name for the successor to Char's project.
