Trial Member
Back in 2009, Trial Members was the initial group in which new members were placed. Trial members were unable to view some forums, and have 20 posts to "prove" themselves suitable for joining. Once reaching the 20th post, the member was automatically placed in the Pending group, which was essentially a "ban" for a time period as their behavior is reviewed. Should they pass the review, they were inducted into the normal Members group, giving them regular posting privileges; otherwise, they will be placed in the Rejected group.
This member type no longer applies, thanks to the opening of the phpBB boards. However, on April 1, 2015, VinnyVideo briefly put Wiiboy4ever in the Trial Members group as a prank. Nowadays this rank isn't any different from regular members, though.
