Trasher, Trashykins, or one of many derogatory names refer to one of several moderators on the MFGG forums who is known for banning people for fifteen or twenty days when they have a post after his in a extremely infamous topic. He has posted on the forums for a considerable amount of time, likely since the beginning of ezBoard.

Trasher became a moderator in 2005 along with FanGuy, and is famous alongside the rest of the staff for keeping his sanity for almost two years, and running. His sarcasm is fairly light, considering what he has been through!

Trasher was upgraded to administrator status on the 20th of July 2007 to "replace" ShadowMan after his departure from the forum administrator team, however he resigned on the 14th of November of the same year. He also resigned as Site Staff on the 14th of December.

Involvement

Trasher has participated in several events since his arrival on the forums, although for the most part he keeps a low profile. He does, however, aid in certain administrative prank actions, such as Walrus.

His reputation is tarnished by his strict enforcement of the rules, although this is generally more accepted when he is banning Chain Chompa.

Although he would like to think so, Trasher's role in Phishfest did nothing whatever to convince Draco to expose Mugen, because all Trasher did was threaten to indefinitely ban him for about six hours, and then signing off without doing so. Draco had been convinced that Trasher would likely do this anyway, although he may have been mistaken. Draco later told another administrator (was either Klobber or ShadowMan), but his choice was not affected in either direction by Trasher's threats.

Former Name Change Policy

For a little while during the latter half of 2007, not long after he was made an admin, Trasher had a policy of changing member's names to names of his own choice when they requested a name change. He had a warning in bold text in his signature that he would do this if people asked him for name changes.

The reason for this was mainly that he (along with others) found it annoying that people requested name changes so often, sometimes merely due to fads; but the policy was likely also meant to be humorous.

Some people missed his signature message and requested anyway, and were dismayed at the results; others asked him on purpose to see what names they would end up with. Eventually, arguments erupted regarding the policy, with some members (such as SonicProject) calling the policy an abuse of power, and others (such as Grant) responding by saying that people ought to have paid more attention to the warning.

Eventually, an agreement was reached among the admins that Trasher would change his policy and the people with those name changes would get their names changed back, but that Trasher would still forward name change requests to Thunder Dragon, who, being considerably less active than the other admins, would probably not be around often to change names.

Though most people with "Trasher name changes" got their names changed back, at least one person (Min-Pin) kept his new name by choice.

Achievements and Hobbies

Trasher is undeniably very skillful at ripping graphics or audio from most video game media. He has submitted several packs of graphics and sounds to the main site, notably most of the sound effects from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

He also occasionally hacks ROMs, as seen in The Ninji Saga, and has attempted a few fangames in other media such as Psycho Mario.
