The Lockening

"The Lockening" is the name sometimes given to the incident that happened on June 10, 2017. It's seen as a continuation of the "petition to cease development of mario's sticker stage" incident, as it happened a day after it and mostly involved people from Minus World. The incident was mainly about various topics that were made in the Suggestions forum criticizing how the staff handled overall moderation, and how several topics were locked without reaching a proper conclusion. Zelma2chainz also got banned during the incident.
During the incident various staff members were heavily criticized, mainly Gato and DJ Coco. Some people were also given warn points after losing their cool in these topics.
The commotion ended when Cruise Elroy made a post about the staff listening to the users' criticisms. It was later proposed to revise the ruleset and make them clearer. The staff tried to take the more cogent criticisms about the state of MFGG into account when planning a series of other initiatives in improving MFGG, including launching the MyBB forums.
