The Great Mistake
The name of this event has not been determined.
The Great Crash of '08 is the tentative title for events that transpired on February 18, 2008.
During this time, a rather large mistake on Jas' part led to the complete dysfunction of the entire forums.
Proceedings
Jas devised a prank to temporarily delete the CCC and General Friendliness. To do so, she thought it would be funny if The Face was made an administrator.
Cutman promptly signed onto the account -- which was not believed possible any longer -- and proceeded to delete all of the forums, removing all of the administrative figures. He then returned the All About Beards 2006 April Fool's Prank, except this time with one forum, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZEKE". He also disabled all of the normal forum features, such as search queries.
Before she was demoted, Jas managed to promote Delmore to administrator, and he deleted The Face and his alternate account Landmaster. He also replaced HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZEKE with "Please stand by...", with the description:
Sorry Zeke, I took your cake. ~Delmore
Delmore created a new account for Yoshiman, and both of them tried to keep the board in balance, waiting for Retriever II to back it up. Retriever II quickly disabled the entire forum remotely, and announced that the board would be reverted back to a 2-day-previous backup.
Final results
- A rollback of 2 days is expected.
- Jas has resigned (not been fired) as administrator.
