Would it perturb you if I removed the redirect on User:OEP?

It's often useful to link to sandboxes on it and separate the pretty article from the non-pretty article.

  • I'm not sure that I understand, do you mean using your User:OEP page as a draft for pages? If so then that's not how wiki software really works! Even if you don't think your article looks all that great, post it anyway! The preview button is there for checking anything you've worked on so far, and if you come back to it later I don't have a problem with you posting a half finished article. Just make a note on the talk page of the article in question to say that it's a WIP. I know you were asking Joey but I thought I'd step in and give my 2 cents --Kyori 13:31, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
    • What Kyori said, and user pages were always used to redirect to the appropriate member pages. Why change that now? TheJoey 23:01, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

It's no biggie. I didn't mean using User:OEP as draft page. On other MediaWiki installations I use, I more use my user page as a portal to collaboration. For instance, I might have a page User:OEP/Sandbox/ImportantPage that is a revamp of some page I didn't want to mess up, and I might invite others to look at it. So, on my user page, I might have something that says "Things I work on" that links to this, and other pages I might like to regularly maintain. It's convenient for me, because there is a link to my user page on every Wiki page than I can click, and then on my user page, I can link to anything that I might work on regularly. I more used my User page as a helpful collaboration portal. Check out my Wikipedia page, I think that might be a good example. --OEP 17:56, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
