SM:BS was officially started sometime during the late '07. LocoRoo thought it'd be nice to do something with the Stencyl game programming application and created an intricate plot, level plans etc. while waiting for it. After tired of waiting for about 9 months and having heard of MechaBowser's MechaSource game programming thingy, LocoRoo decided to switch programs. But seeing as how both programs are unfinished, he'll quite possibly never get to make the game.

Story

It's the time of the year when the annual Mushroom Kingdom party is held. Everybody is happy... or would be, not for the bugs who seem to want Mushroom Kingdom as their new home. The party is halted by a mysterious bug, named Kid Vicious. He uses his greatest invention, the Cristallo-Gun, to freeze every creature attending the party except princess Peach into a pile of pure, jagged crystal. Then he takes Princess Peach hostage and takes over her castle. Somehow Mario resisted the crystallifying beam (maybe it has something to do with the 20 plates of garlic spaghetti he ate...) and ran away. Hey, give him a break. Could YOU defeat 10.000 bugs double the size of you with a stomach full of garlic spaghetti? Anyways, that's how the story begins.

Power-ups

  • Groun Seed: Gives Mario the Gardener ability. With it, he can plant various seeds that grow into plants and grant Mario a way to some secret places.
  • Terror Shroom: Raises Mario's anger so much he bursts into flames for a limited amount of time. Can destroy enemies and some obstacles.
  • Atebeet Flower: Turns Mario into a small, 8-bit form of himself. Allows Mario to access places otherwise unavailable and to defeat various enemies.
  • Chaos Crown: The mother of all secrets. Allows Mario to access something quite special.
