Super Mario Bros. 3 (Short for SMB3)

Super Mario Bros 3

is a game released by Nintendo, as a sequel to Super Mario Bros 2. Unlike previous Super Mario Bros games, SMB3 had more levels, new features, and better graphics. It also featured new music.

New Features

-New powerups (Raccoon leaf, Hammer, Tanooki(Raccoon) suit, Frog suit, and Kuribo's(Goomba's) Shoe.)
-Bonus levels such as a Memory card game, hammer-bro battles, and a Roulette-like game.
-End of level panels
-New enemies
-New items
-Map system
-Hidden areas and items

SMB3 Clones

Most engines are based on SMB3, such as Hello Mario Engine, which include graphics from SMB3. Due to the overwhelming number of fangames made with such engines, with no modifications, the SMB3 graphics style has become undesired among the fangaming community.
