Super Mario Bros. (remakes)
Super Mario Bros. is a game for the NES released by Nintendo in 1985. Since then, the game has become one of the most popular of all time. This fame, combined with the game's simplicity, spawned a barrage of remakes down the line. A lot of which are on Mario Fan Games Galaxy. The most commonly used engine for these remakes is Hello's Open Source SMB1 Engine, and many only contain World 1-1.

Bingo90s Super Mario Bros. is a fangame created by Bingo90 and uploaded on August 31, 2010. While the levels are identical, only World 1 is present. Like most Super Mario Bros. remakes, it got negative reviews and has several glitches not found in the original.
Differences
- The game is in widescreen.
- The Fire Flower animation plays even when you already have the Fire Flower.
- The Warp Zone has not been implemented, but you can still go to where it would be.
- When Mario collects a Mushroom, the game won't reset the Jump Button reading.
- Bowser has no falling sound.
- When Mario walks up to Toad, he stops touching Toad.
- The Warp Zone area is smaller.
- World 1-1 has vertical scrolling.

Super Mario Bros. + is a fangame by KenM using the Game Maker Development Program. It was uploaded on December 31, 2009. It is a remake in vein of Mario Bros. VS, but lacks new features (even though they were planned). Most of the sprites used in this game were later submitted to the Mainsite separately.

- The graphics are brand new.
- The starman is changed to the Rainbow Star.
- Players can choose either brother.

Super Mario Bros. is a remake created by Mit. It is a demo and features only World 1-1.
Differences
- The big bushes and cloud are part of a parallax background rather than the foreground.
- The block at the end of the long trail is a dud block.
- The flag is on the wrong side of the pole.
- The flagpole doesn't work.
- The castle uses different graphics.
- The warp pipe doesn't work.
- There is a poison mushroom.
- After the castle, you can walk off the screen. In the original, it repeated forever.
- The HUD is still 16-bit.
- There is a life counter where the timer should be.
- Enemies go through each other
- Hidden 1-Up and Starman are gone
- Glitches.
Engine Debate
The engine used to make this game has been questioned by many MFGGers, who believe it has made using Hello's Open Source SMB1 Engine. Main points were the glitches and the life counter. However, Mit denied such claims. The debate continued until MegaTailzChao and afterward Nicholas Ainsworth put a stop to it by threatening comment removal.
