Super Mario Bros was one of the launch games for Nintendo's Famicom (NES), and was released on the 13th September 1985. It is perhaps the most recognised incarnation of the Mario Bros, because it is currently the best selling video game. This was the first Mario game to be set in the Mushroom Kingdom. Koopa kidnaps The Princess, and Mario goes to save her. After defeating him in the castle in World 1-4, Mario is greeted by a Toad who famously tells him "THE PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE".
