GotMAward.png Super Mario 64: Really Good Edition was named Game of the Month in June 2016.

Super Mario 64: Really Good Edition is a fangame by Blutorus, and is the winning entry of the Joke Game Contest #2 - 2016. As the name suggests, it parodies the Nintendo 64 game, Super Mario 64. It only parodies the first world of the game, Bob-Omb Battlefield, although Blutorus had stated that he might make more if there is enough demand for it.

Like in the original game it parodies, Super Mario 64: Really Good Edition stars Mario, who can be able to run, jump, wall jump, long jump, ground pound, read signs, do a somersault, and much more. The game takes place on a version of Bob-Omb Battlefield that includes memes. There are seven missions in the world, which are based off the ones from the original game. Just like in the original game, finishing a mission will award Mario a Starman (which appears as a half of a yellow Starman from Earthbound in this fangame). Mario will start each mission with about eight pieces of health, which can be lost when he comes into contact with any hazards. Losing all eight health pieces (or falling into a bottomless pit) will result with him losing a life and starting back at the beginning of the current mission he is in.

Super Mario 64: Really Good Edition has overall received a positive reception on MFGG. They praised the fact that unlike most of the other joke games on MFGG, it has actual gameplay and a nice amount of effort put into it. Some members thought the fangame wasn't really that very funny, however. It managed to win the Game of the Month award of June 2016.

Super Mario 64: Really Good Edition currently holds an average score of 7.9 on the main site.
