Stanley Saga is a fangame featuring the obscure character, Stanley The Bugman in a starring role.

Game's official topic
Level Demo/Engine Test.

Story

One day in a kingdom far away, called the Garden Kingdom, there was a beautiful princess named Flora. One day, the evil Jynx, Queen of Bugs became jealous of her beauty, and kidnapped her. News of the kidnapping quickly spread throught the Kingdom. Would no one save the beautiful Princess Flora? Luckily, the Kingdom had a local extermination buissness, where one of the exterminators was Stanley The Bugman, cousin of the great Mushroom Kingdom hero, Mario Mario. Stanley heard of the kidnapping, and decided if he could save the princess, maybe he'd get the girl, and the fame his cousin had for so long!

Game Mechanics

Normally, Stanley can go throughout levels with his bugspray. However, unlike Mario, he cannot squash his enemies. He must defeat them using his bugspray. Also in a few levels, vehicles similar to Super Mario Land's Pop machines will be usable.

Planned Areas

Grasslands

A simple tutorial area.

Sea

Begins in Atlantean ruins, but ends with battle in the Sea Snap, a machine similar to the Sea Pop.

DK Isle

After washing up on DK Isle, Stanley must prove himself as a hero in Cranky's Trials.

Sky

After being shot into the clouds by use of the Super Barrel Cannon, Stanley makes his way to Jynx's castle.

Badlands

Stanley accidentaly ends up here instead of the castle. He was pretty close though.

Castle

The final area, where the final battle against Queen Jynx takes place.

???

The TRUE final area. You get here by means of...collection.

One More Thing...

I'd like to thank Someguy for making the engine. Without it, I wouldn't want to start this thing up again at all. Like, even for MFGE.
