SmithyGCN is an MFGGer who first joined the MFGG forums on January 8, 2016. Prior to joining, SmithyGCN is already well-known throughout several spriting communities (particularly the Spriter's Resource) for his rips and, most importantly, his custom sprites. Besides spriting, SmityGCN is also an accomplished artist who draws in a style reminiscent to Disney/Don Bluth.
SmithyGCN tied with Black Boo for Best Artist in MFGG Awards 2016.
Trivia
- His username is based on his wish for a sequel to Super Mario RPG appearing on the Nintendo Gamecube. He once mentioned that his username was SmithyN64 when the Nintendo 64 was still an active console.
