Skins are the appearance of a website or interface, and when referred to with this word are generally interchangeable and all optional. Examples of skins on Mario Fan Games Galaxy include:

  • MFGG Default. Blue-purpleish look. The default skin.
  • Fireflower. Black and red color-schemed skin themed on fiery ideas and objects from the Mushroom Kingdom, such as Fireflowers and Bowser.
  • Winter Blue. Similar to the default skin, except darker. This skin boasts a header adorned with Christmas tree lights and a banner depicting a Super Mario World 2-styled mountain.
  • Tropical Splash. Yellow/blue, and the background is beach-like. Based on summer-type ideas. The colors are incredibly bright in contrast with most of the other skins.
  • Forest Green. Mostly green, but uses reddish brown in some parts. True to its name, it borrows many elements from the forest type environments of the Mushroom Kingdom.
  • Halloween Spooktacular. Another seasonal skin decorated with a black and orange color setup. The Boo enemy from the Super Mario series can be seen in most areas, but there are other enemies as well.
  • Ocean Spray. Can be considered a ancestor of Tropical Splash. Mostly violet-colored and is based around an underwater theme. Jellyfish and dolphins can be seen as decorations.
  • Nintendo DS. Follows a black-and-white color scheme similar to the Nintendo DS. Created by SonicProject.

There have also been several temporary skins for April Fool's or other odd events; there also are and have been a myriad other ideas for skins, such as:

  • Wario Skin
  • Donkey Kong Skin
  • 8-Bit Skin
  • Goomba Skin, previously under work by SonicProject
  • Yoshi's Island skin
  • Shy-guy toybox skin
  • Dry Dry Desert Skin
  • Virtual Boy Skin
  • Fire Emblem Skin
  • Starry Sky skin, underway by [Ryo]
