Dawn of Mankind
Everybody all around the world is asking about this global phenomenon. But do we have any answers? I'd like to think we do. You see, the Delmore experience isn't about where you've been or what you've done. If that was the case, you'd only see the high school football captain or that really popular girl rocking the boat. But that's not what Delmore is about. Yes, I intend to tell you exactly what he is about, but not before you're properly informed.
Travel back to the year 1964 with me, and you'll find a very different situation than we have today. I don't think I need to go into details about the hippie mentality running amok in this particular era, but if I do then feel free to use Wikitiki magic and make this information appear. Considering this time period alone, you'll figure out exactly why Delmore isn't about the past.
Delmore is the future.
Book 1 - A Hero is Born (Yoshiguy Enters)
Way back when MFGG was known as Bowser Technologies, a member joined under the name of Yoshiguy. Although he didn't post for almost a year, he was still a member. He attempted several times to get his sprites onto the site, but they were never accepted. Perhaps Thunder Dragon wasn't checking the submissions. What am I saying, perhaps, of course he didn't. If Thunder Dragon saw his wonderful works, he would've added them in a heart beat.
Yoshiguy began posting a bit later, with his character that was created by one of his friends, which sadly was an edit of Luna Yoshi's drawings. People ignored this though, and accepted young Yoshiguy into the herd. After a bit, he finally submitted a demo of one of his first games, Super Mario: Star Search, which people found to be enjoyable. It featured members from MFGG as bosses, and several stars hidden in each level. Yoshiguy was having a smooth run, until bumps came into his path. MFGG hit a slump a few years later, when members began to join with sour attitudes.
Before we get to this though, we must of course discuss one of the bigger issues that led most flames on Yoshiguy. When a hacker under the name "The Misty Maniac" began sending trojans to MFGGers, Yoshiguy thought it was rather funny. He then began joking with ShadowMan on the subject, pretending he had gotten a virus. He made ridiculous claims, hoping ShadowMan would catch on, until he accidentally kicked his power button on the computer by accident. He was logged out of MSN, and thus started a grudge between the two.
Yoshiguy was flamed constantly after The Misty Maniac feud, and not being trained in the art of flaming, was unable to defend himself. He constantly was teased, no matter what he did. He tried producing a little minigame for people when signature badges became popular, and was picked on for this greatly, until he got upset and was banned his first time by ShadowMan.
Book 2 - The Hero's Journey (Yoshiguy's Many Trials)
Before he had returned, he began training himself, studying the human psyche. When his ban was lifted, he tried to fight harder when battles arose, but this just didn't work quite yet. He was still far too weak, and Klobber started to get upset when he saw Yoshiguy telling people to lay off as he retreated, and changed his post count, which low at the time, to -4000. Klobber saw how great of a mistake it was, and shortly warned himself afterwards, and unbanned Yoshiguy. Yoshiguy had grown now, and knew the ways of stubborn forum assholes and how to make them tick.
The flames around him slowly died out, as he began to fight honorably, and was awarded the happy heart badge, which did not last long, as evil was afoot. With new warning system in place, SonicProject complained constantly of how light admins went on members, and demanded more warns. The staff did not want to appear weak, so warns were handed out more often, but obviously not often not, since SonicProject was still not pleased weeks later. The staff felt it was right, and hired him as a mod, which may have been one of their greatest mistakes. Warns and bans were given daily by the merciless SonicProject, and Yoshiguy fell victim to several warns, of course quickly removed moments later. His signature image belonged to another member, who saw it and enlarged it, thus getting Yoshiguy warned. SonicProject couldn't simply edit it out, he had to show power, so he warned Yoshiguy for it. Yoshiguy fought until finally SonicProject faced defeat, and removed the warn.
Some time later, SP had his powers revoked, and MFGG was somewhat in order again, although members still were jerks time to time, but Yoshiguy knew how to handle it, that is, until a certain ShadowMan's grudge had fallen back into place a bit later. The admin posted crazy things constantly, such as redirection topics and abusive HTML that covered the screen with images. Although this was fine for him, and several members that copied his codes and did it, ShadowMan did not approve of one member doing these things. When Yoshiguy posted a redirection topic that'd log members out, ShadowMan grew furious since he had fell victim to such a light prank, and warned Yoshiguy and said it was impossible to edit. Impossible? Not for Yoshiguy. He ran into the topic and bravely fought off the HTML in his post, until it was gone, and became a normal topic. ShadowMan was furious, and gave him a heart back, but did not give up so soon.
Almost a year later, ShadowMan randomly changed the MFGG HTML to include a picture of an obese african american with a sound clip saying "OH SNAP!". Members were terrified when the image flashed on their screens, except a certain Yoshiguy. He copied the HTML and posted it in a topic as a joke, since it was about how scary it was, and scared members, but all in good humor. ShadowMan was not amused. His joke being pulled off by someone else was forbidden, and once again warned him and deemed it "impossible to edit". Yoshiguy laughed, and with the power of imageblock, took it off in less then a minute. ShadowMan, red in the face, gave him a heart back, but told him to never do it again. Yoshiguy had grown, and finally decided to change his image a bit after these events, knowing that his current character appearence made him seem weak.
Book 3 - The Hero's New Face (Yoshiguy's Transformation)
During the time of Lightning's Paper Mario Hack, Yoshiguy redesigned his character to fit the role of the character Bobbery. He had darkened the color of his character's skin, and of course added the hat Bobbery wore. He liked this design, and decided to stick with it, although not for long. After a month, Yoshiguy had gotten bored, and though to himself what it'd be like if he had an original character. He began simply changing a few things, until finally, he had done it. With some creative thinking, Admiral Delmore was born. No longer a recolor, he felt better about himself, and members began seeing him as a whole new person, mostly because they had no idea who he even was since he didn't mention any longer that he was Yoshiguy.
With his new character, Delmore's attitude slowly adjusted to the angrier attitude of MFGG. No longer did he take abuse like in his earlier stages, and if anyone attempted to flame him, he would fight back while following all the rules. Delmore got the respect he deserved, that is, until members began to fear him since he didn't go light anymore. Kitsune Yamato had PMed Delmore about several people complaining about his attitude. Naoshi had been worried that Delmore would make fun of him constantly when he commented on how crazy he thought the name SCULLY was. Other members complained too, but most of the complaints were on simple comments that were taken too far by the people they were directed towards.
Delmore's image seemed to be warped by most members, so he began trying to help the community in general. He began to help members with their problems, as well as report most posts that needed an admin or mod to look at. And although as helpful as he was being, very little people knew of his kindness, since things like reported topics aren't even seen by average members. SonicProject had returned recently, and began getting into silly fights with him over small things. Delmore of course knew what was going on, and told the angry MFGGer to calm down and just let it go. SonicProject of course doesn't back down as easily as that, and pinned his fights on Delmore, and began sending negative PMs to him. Delmore wrote a quick reply saying that he did not care for such nonsense and did not want to fight, but SonicProject blocked him from PMs. When asked on AIM why he did it, SonicProject responded,
"I didn't care about what he had to say. If he had a voice, that'd just ruin it."
Was this the only problem that Delmore was going to face? Oh no, much more was in store for him, and it was more serious then ever. A few months later, one of the biggest fiascos could've lead to him being banned permanently.
Book 4 - The Hero is Framed (Delmore the Criminal?)
Mugenmidget, Delmore's sensei, had recently pulled a prank on MFGG. Nintendogs, a dog with a foul mouth, joined the forums and made fun of members, and struck fear into MFGGer's hearts. His crude racial slurs and strange language confused the members, and got them angry. When banned the first time, he returned a few days later, although not as bad as his first time. After many attacks, Darkz revealed his true identity in an MFGG chat foolishly in front of ShadowMan. Although Mugenmidget was found out, ShadowMan didn't believe it, and let him go, but when he found out there was more then one Nintendogs, he began asking everyone about what they knew. Kaepora, who registered as Nintendogs after Mugenmidget, came clean after ShadowMan pinned him into a corner. He told him everything, and ratted Mugenmidget out, but not only that, he lied that Delmore had made an account too. ShadowMan of course talked to Mugenmidget about it, but let him off even after confessing, as long as he vowed not to do it again. ShadowMan didn't talk to Delmore, but assumed he was doing some part, since he posted about it awhile later. This was not when Delmore was in danger though, this really just lead up to it.
Mugenmidget finally decided to pull the ultimate prank. By embeding a code into a new member's signature, he tricked members into logging in again on his own page, which cleverly sent him their password. He then changed user's passwords and email adresses on MFGG, as well as any other sites he could access. His plan was working well, until Kitsune Yamato registered again and began posting topics constantly whining about his account being hacked. Admins found out the file, banned it, prevented embed codes, and were furious. They didn't know who would do such a thing, but fingers were pointed at certain members, one being Delmore due to ShadowMan believing he was Nintendogs and having a personal vendetta against him. Sadly though, this was at the time when new mods were being hired, so Delmore even having a shot of becoming one were right out, since his reputation to the staff was that he was a criminal. Kitsune Yamato, SonicProject, Mugenmidget, and Jeff Silvers were the finalists, although it was rumored that Klobber suggested Delmore even after ShadowMan said he was the phisher. The new staff was decided, but since Mugenmidget was in hot water, he requested his title as moderator was to be given to his friend Jak, since he knew his time on this planet was short. Mugenmidget then informed Delmore of how he was looked at as the phisher, and before he stepped out to tell the truth, he said these noble words to Delmore:
"Unlike some of my other warriors, you never fail me."
Mugenmidget was banned that day, and frowns went across most MFGGers who were friends with him, and shock to those who never knew he felt so hateful towards them. Some members were left with a reminder, such as Duckboy, who had his DeviantArt file hacked into, although not by Mugenmidget, but Delmore would never forget him. The day was known as the worst day in MFGG history, and during the aftermath, when ShadowMan posted Mugenmidget's many aliases, Delmore channeled a reply through Mugenmidget's spirt. His reply was about Kaepora ratting him out, and shortly after it was posted, ShadowMan posted about Delmore being involved with Nintendogs. After talking with Kaepora, he then found out that he was tied into that scenario although he had nothing to do with it. Kaepora spoke with ShadowMan, as well as Delmore, and cleared it up, but the grudge ShadowMan holds is still exsistant.
Book 5 - The Hero is Threatened (Delmore Under Attack)
Delmore had so much happen to him through the years, and recieved death threats one day. Remoga Sanctum was a member who constantly made immature posts and was banned all the time, but what got him banned forever was blamed on Delmore, or at least by Remoga Sanctum. What happened was that Delmore entered the MFGG chatroom, and only one member was inside, which was of course Remoga Sanctum. Delmore lightly made the comment,
"Ew."
and left the chat. Remoga Sanctum posted a topic a minute later, flaming Delmore in the title. Flaming is obviously not allowed, and thus, Remoga Sanctum was banned.
A three day ban is not so bad, but after one day, Remoga Sanctum registered again, and posted a huge topic against Delmore, blaming him for his ban. Remoga Sanctum sent PMs, IMs, and Emails to Delmore, making threats and calling him things such as "nazi" and "communist", which by the way, Delmore is not. The topic was locked after a few minutes, and Remoga Sanctum was banned for the rest of time, but he kept the threats going. Delmore has blocked his many screennames on AIM, and reported his mail as spam, and has not heard from him for a little bit, but he can't rest easy quite yet, since Remoga Sanctum may strike again at any time.
Two weeks after Remoga Sanctum being banned, Delmore recieved a strange IM from ExplosionEx. The message was poorly typed out in huge letters, and called him many offensive names. He was blocked almost instantly, but after several hours, another screen name IMed Delmore. sucksnojbl demanded that Delmore would sock him, which Delmore did not understand. Delmore was not the violent type, and would most certainly not "sock him". Delmore told him that he had to go, and blocked him. Ten minutes later, one last screen name IMed him. PiranhaCPU1 IMed Delmore and acted rude once more. Delmore let him go on for quite a bit, until he finally revealed who he was. Remoga Sanctum had made all of the screen names so he could IM Delmore and tell him that he was going to hack him as soon as he could learn how, and that MFGG was going to be dead in a matter of time. Delmore asked him why he wished to do such things, especially after Remoga Sanctum said that he had a life. He responded with the following:
"your mom"
Delmore obviously knew this was going nowhere, so he said he had to go once more, and blocked him. What is in store for MFGG now knowing that Remoga Sanctum swears that he'll hack it? Probably nothing, since the most he seems to be able to do is make screen names to bother people with. Who knows though, maybe he will get his revenge, and all of MFGG will be doomed! It's really unlikely though.
End of Time
Delmore holds a great place in MFGG history, and is one of the oldest members that is still around. Although newer members don't know the struggles he has faced. People see him as the agressive member, but he never tries to be that way. If you get him angry, he'll certainly show it, but he'll never hate without reason. Delmore is regarded as one of the greatest heroes to all that is known, and is truly an inspiration for all MFGGers. Delmore has always been fighting for what is right, and is one of the greatest stories to be told.
