sc00pj0hn (older aliases: Awesomeface, DrBlowhole20) is a member who registered on the MFGG mainsite on July 16th, 2010. He's the known creator of his infamous game series named Miraculous Boss Battle Series, which was a trilogy of poorly-made games using Game Maker, known to everyone as one of the worst games ever posted on MFGG. From his current life, he is a fan of MFGG's joke fangames such as SHPDMBGWL4, Super Charisma Bros., and many other joke games.

History

Debut on MFGG

On July 16th, 2010, he appeared first on the MFGG mainsite. awesomeface never posted anything during July-August, but on the early September of the same year, awesomeface started publishing his (Miraculous Boss Battle Series) on the mainsite. which soon gained negative reviews for the games' poor execution. Despite the criticism, He began creating two sequels of the same series. In response of the people who reviewed his games, awesomeface pretended to be a mainsite mod by threatening people that he'll ban them if they voted his games in a pretty lower score (his quote stating: "Warning: If you rate games of 1/10 & 2/10 & 3/10, i will ban those members who rated bad!"). This caused many of the members who simply thought of him as a mediocre game creator to mock this post and lay out the truth for him: He wasn't important enough to ban people, and even if he was, he would need a good reason to ban them. One year later, 2011, his activity was tuning down after the backlash of his poorly made fangames, but soon he began appearing in the old MFGG forums, posting his demo of his (also poorly made) Waligie fangame called Waligie Bros.: Revenge of the Pixls. This game used the SMB1 Engine by Hello Fangaming, which caused awesomeface to recieve criticism again. Soon after that, the game gets scrapped due to himself losing interest in using GameMaker 8.0, and would instead transfer to Multimedia Fusion 2 in 2012. After his failed attempt at making a Waligie fangame, he gains another attempt to make one, this time with Waligie XIII, however, that project never had shown any known details so that project also was kicked off in the dust.

awesomeface leaves MFGG

At June 16, 2013, awesomeface posted his last post on the MFGG forums, this time it was about spriting and so leaving MFGG, along with asking for help about spriting in the Super Mario Bros. 3 style. As that post gained little amount of replies from people telling him to check out tutorials, awesomeface seemed to never speak anymore. And so it was the time when in November 15, 2012, he decides to move on to a game jam site named Glorious Trainwrecks after stumbling upon one of the Waligie games, Waligie Fort, that was published on that site. There, he witnessed his likeable interest for MMF2 and began his carrier as a member of Glorious Trainwrecks.

Glorious Trainwrecks connection

awesomeface returned to the MFGG forums at August 4, 2013, but a little active than he was before. awesomeface, known as John in the Glorious Trainwrecks site, talked about the site in the forums, while Supernova decided to join him in the site when he published one of his Mario joke fangames. While awesomeface was in GT, his projects published in the site were The Super Mozart Adventure (an odd joke fangame featuring a Klik n Play sprite mistakenly named after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), one which is a Player Adventure fangame and two Twine stories (one which was a very strange Commander Keen story, even awesomeface regrets writing it!). Later, he worked on his other joke game series known as Mr. Cat, coming out with four complete games in the series, and one left unfinished (and likely to never be resumed). After his publishment of Mr. Cat 3 in Summer 2014, awesomeface soon became inactive as he kept wandering on the internet as a usual lurker.

A new leaf

After leaving Glorious Trainwrecks, he went on to make few more games in Fusion 2.5 (and published them to his Game Jolt profile) until his debut on Discord, a communication software popular to videogame enthusiasts founded in 2015. awesomeface, in order to make a grand return to MFGG, changed himself into sc00pj0hn, having learned of his past mistakes and now turned over a new leaf. He has bought GameMaker Studio 1.4 himself from Humble Bundle, and definitely changed his game making software after his new distaste for Fusion 2.5, having learned that his old SHMUP game he made revealed to be unstable when he discovered that he wasn't capable of doing a working INI save data system. sc00pj0hn behaves very different from what he was in the early 2010s, and his habits for joke games have changed slightly to his love for the SHMUP and Metroidvania genres and has grown a spirit of retro gaming inside him, inspiring himself to bring in retro-era creativity in his future projects. In that year, he has become much prominent into drawing and looking into obscure and formerly popular japanese media.

Trivia

  • His old username (awesomeface) is named after a very old internet meme known as the Awesome Face, a yellow smiley face (on a unrelated note, it is still popular in Roblox, an online free to play game).
  • In the early years during his activity, his likeable interest went from MFGG-based joke fangames to his love for Japanese culture (manga, anime).
  • He struggles for his drawing skills and somehow keeps claiming himself to be bad at art.
