Q-Nova is an active MFGGer, frequent reviewer, and prolific wiki editor. He discovered MFGG during the middle of 2012, but didn't create an account until March 7, 2015. Before joining the site, he had downloaded many fangames from the main site and played them, the first of which were Gravity Goomba and Crazy Lakitu DX. He had also downloaded many sprite sheets from the main site, and used them for his fangames (though, they were edited, so they don't clash with his own sprites), along with his own sprites. Like Supernova, he is addicted to collecting badges. He is also a prolific reviewer and has received the Super Reviewer badge. He is also a spriter that uses no outline for his style, and he even has his own art topic.

History

QNova SpriteComp.PNG

When he first joined, he was a very active poster (mostly at the General Chat), and submited sprites and reviews to the main site. He competed in the Sprite Competition #1 - 2015, his entry (which is displayed at the left) being based on one of his favorite fangames, Abducted Toad. His entry made it into the top five, but it didn't win as it didn't earn any votes at the final voting phase.

In March 10, 2015, he created his wiki account. He made a entry for the Drawing Competition #2 - 2015 two days after creating a wiki account, and his entry represented Sonic the Hedgehog. His Drawing Competition entry did not make it to the top five, despite earning a couple votes. In March 15, 2015, he joined Xandalf's current collaborative project (which is currently on hold), "Smash Bros Retro", as he considered himself to be sufficiently adept at GML.

He made a entry for the Drawing Competition #3 - 2015, which represents Toadette Strikes. His Drawing Competition entry didn't win, as it didn't receive any votes. He created a minigame for the Super Competition #1, which is known as Bob-Ball. His Super Competition entry didn't win, as it didn't earn any votes. He submitted Bob-Ball to the main site, which was accepted after a few days.

Thunder Dragon's Shy Guy sketch

When he changed his avatar into a Shy Guy sketch (which is made by Thunder Dragon) as he decided to obey the caption below VinnyVideo's avatar, a fad is created. This small fad involves a few MFGGer's changing their avatar into Thunder Dragon's Shy Guy sketch. This fad only lasted for a day, as Q-Nova changed his avatar so soon.

He participated at the Great MFGG Easter Egg Hunt of 2015, and he was able to crack all eggs of that event (with a small amount of help from some MFGGers). He's the winner of the Cyan Egg, and claimed the prize, JumpJet Rex. He's also the winner of the Orange Egg, but he declined the prize, Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers, which instead goes to Myte. He helped a few people on cracking the third puzzle of the Orange Egg, by giving them hints.

At May 11, 2015, Q-Nova participated at the seventh Isometric Collaboration. He has only created fourteen tiles so far.

Sprite Comp 2.PNG

He created the Sprite Competition #2 - 2015, as Supernova is unable to create the next Sprite Competition, due to his laptop hard drive failing on him. He also competed on it, with his entry (which is displayed at the right) representing an evolved Octorok, which is an enemy from the Legend of Zelda series. His Sprite Competition entry got a couple votes during the top five voting phase, but his entry didn't make it to the top five.

On May 17, Q-Nova participated at the MFGG E3 Bingo of 2015. He got twelve squares marked down, but he didn't get a bingo.

On May 20, 2015, he competed in the Drawing Competition #4 - 2015, with his entry representing Mario (with his emotion being the sad smiley) and Greeno as robot masters. His Drawing Competition entry made it to the top five, but did not get any votes past that point, and thus did not win. He later competed in the Super Competition #2 with Nightmare's Revenge. Q-Nova produced the engine and graphics, while edeN composed the music. His Super Competition entry did not win the competition, and only got one vote.

Starman Cartoon QNova.PNG

On May 31, 2015, he competed in the Sprite Competition #3 - 2015 with his entry (which is displayed at the left) representing a Starman, a well known enemy from the Mother/Earthbound series. The Starman was redesigned to fit an 80s Saturday morning cartoon, as that was the theme of the competition. His Sprite Competition entry got one vote, but didn't win. He later entered the Music Competition #1 - 2015, but did not get any votes.

In June 10, 2015, he competed on the Drawing Competition #5 - 2015, and his entry represented Mario and a Bob-Omb Buddy, both of whom were cosplaying as the Pokémon characters Red and Electrode, respectively. At the voting phase, Q-Nova's Drawing Competition entry didn't receive any votes, and thus did not win. On June 25, he created A Typical Day as is his entry for the Joke Game Contest #1 - 2015. His Joke Game Contest entry didn't earn any votes, but as the winner was also the host of the Joke Game Contest, and thus technically disqualified, Q-Nova won by default.

On July 29, he made an entry for the Sprite Competition #4 - 2015; his entry was an action pose of Satoru Iwata, a Balloon Fighter alt costume, and an emblem that represented Nintendo. During the voting phase, Q-Nova's Sprite Competition entry received a vote, but it didn't win. On August 1, 2015, he was officially confirmed to be a spriter of Super Mario Flashback.

On August 4, Q-Nova re-shaded four of the smilies. The four smilies that were updated were :disagree:, :tired:, :agree:, and .

Steam

Somewhere at April 2015, he created his Steam account, as he got JumpJet Rex from the Great MFGG Easter Egg Hunt of 2015. He only owns one game, as none of the other games have interested him so far, but he has been very active at playing his game. Besides playing his game, he is friends with some MFGGers, including Elyk, Mors, and Blutorus.
