Pit of 99 999 trials

The Pit of 99 999 Trials is a topic created by Elly on February 10, 2007, in which members took turns posting "levels" consisting of one challenge each. The challenges range from the mundane (preparing and serving a steak) to the impossible (destroying and subsequently recreating the universe). Sometimes members post something random as a level (BREAD).

Popularity

The topic is 181 pages at the time of writing.

Because of the popularity of the topic, admins and moderators can be frequently seen fixing double numbers made by two members using the same floor number.

Current status

The game has been won. On December 29th, 2007, it was sent to the Archives after the closure of the Forum Games. It somehow came back into the CCC as a sticky. When it was announced that the forums are moving, around 96,000 levels were skipped.

On August 14, 2009, TheSuperyoshi reached Level 99,999. Kevin Rudd broke this victory with level 100,000.
