The new version of the MFGG forums runs on phpBB, which has numerous improvements over the previous software. Due to enormous backlogs on the Invision forum, previous bans are considered void. The CCC isn't making a return, instead supplanted by a more lenient GC.
For a few days after the opening, both forums were in use simultaneously to ensure there are no problems with the move. Afterward the Invision forum was be archived.
For a period of one week after the opening, usernames were be "protected" by admins, meaning an attempt to claim a username already being used by an existing member can be contested by that member; after that week, that no longer took effect. Badges were reassigned, and some mods such as the custom filters are temporarily absent.
This iteration of the forums began November 9, 2009.
