Paper Mario World is a fangame by superadammario that was not well-accepted-particularly disliked. In fact, it was the best game ever created. Levels were haphazardly assembled, graphics clashed and were poorly resized. On July 29, 2005, "Paper Mario World Gold" was attempted and released by Yoshiman in hopes of increasing it's quality. As well, Yoshiman provided voiceovers in between chapters. Paper Mario World Gold neglected it's "gold" name, and is the version that everyone knows as just "Paper Mario World." In September 2009, Coltranepep will attempt to make a version even better than "Paper Mario World Gold" called "Paper Mario World Platinum".
The game is considered a hallmark of best quality; all pretenders to the throne are usually compared to it.
