Paper Bowser World is a Mario fangame created by Toodles Team (known for his custom Paper Mario 2 sprites). The game itself is also a custom work based from Paper Mario 2; in fact, it is a direct parody of the Bowser platforming stages from Paper Mario 2. The game itself spans sixteen levels and four additional secret levels, on two game modes (Bowser and Kammy), leaving a total of forty levels in all.
Plot
It's kind of funny to put the puzzle pieces together to see the plot. Apparently, Bowser gets a report from Kammy that Mario is going to take a vacation, therefore Princess Peach is safe for a week or few. So Bowser runs off to deal with the "problem", while a curse from the magic box steals the wand from Kammy. Play the game to unlock the story's end.
== Gameplay ==
The gameplay depends drastically on which mode is chosen; for example, "Bowser" mode is especially easy. This is mainly because the PM2 segments that inspired Paper Bowser World were incredibly easy; so easy, in fact, that Toodles Team made the following changes:
- Bowser moves slower
- More limited space to move around, in some areas
- Many more levels
However, Bowser mode remains easier (except in castle levels), and more humorous. "Kammy" mode is more in tune with Mario gameplay, as she is much smaller, and has less destructive potential in her magic attack than Bowser does in his fire breath. Ergo, some levels have been slightly edited for Kammy's gameplay by removing bricks, changing trap locations, etc.
Controls
The controls are as follows:
- Left arrow: Move character left.
- Right arrow: Move character right.
- Up arrow: Make character jump.
- Space: Use special attack (Bowser breathes fire, Kammy shoots a spell).
- Enter: Pause the game, make selections, and progress dialogue.
- Esc: Return to the title screen, and exit the game.
