Overview
The sequel to Normal Super Mario Bros.. This time, it stars Toad, who must complete the first level of classic SMB2 under the influence of a fuzzy. The game's graphical style consists of a mishmash of rips, edits, and crops of outside sources.
Gameplay
Normal Super Mario Bros. 2 now uses the arrow keys in addition to a ZXC input. Now sporting a nifty run button and the ability to pick enemies and plants up from below you, the game plays more accurately to the source material than its predecessor. Also returning is the use of the spacebar for a special segment. The game takes advantage of its setting and uses the various smaller areas in Subcon as bonuses for added replay value.
Reception
The game has been reviewed 13 times and holds a score of 8.8 on the main site, just one decimal behind its predecessor. Many people praised the game's creativity once again, however, the main point against it remained its lack of replay value. Some reviewers criticized the bonus areas as being not very fun.
