Nerr License Maker is an upgraded port from the license creator in the unfinished game, Swoon.exe. Licenses are saved in NRLI format, the format for all Nerr Licenses.
NRLI Files
NRLI files, known as Nerr Licenses or Nerr Real License Identity files, are files for use in Nerr License Maker. They can then be exported to five different image formats.
Encoding
Version 1.0
Version 1 NRLI files are saved like this: Janj June 25 Elite Nerr
Line 1 is the name Line 2 is the month Line 3 is the date Line 4 is the status
Version 1.0 Licenses are very insecure. They can be edited with any text editor, and their functionality has been dropped for the release of version 2.0
Version 2.0
NRLI files are encoded in a way different than before. Since the program does checks to make sure it is a NRLI file, it has to be recognized as a NRLI point 2 file. If the program does not find the two lines that make sure it is a NRLI point 2 file, then the file is corrupt. Since NRLI point 1 files do not have these lines, they cannot be opened with the NRLI point 2 editor.
- Version 2 NRLI files are saved like this:
<NRLI VER 2.0> NRLI::Janj Janj June 25 Elite Nerr <NRLI ENCODING>
Line 1 is the NRLI version Line 2 is the line that checks if the file is corrupt Lines 3-6 are explained in the NRLI point 1 section Line 7 ends the NRLI encoding
