Series overview
It's known to all fangamers that Mario castle stages should be incredibly difficult. The Miraculous boss battle series attempts to do just that with its castle stage based "Levels". All three games use the exact same engine, which is the standard Platform engine that you can get for the Game Maker program, which is also too floaty; and all three use the same graphics for Mario, which does not match up with the default graphics that were used for the scenery and the below subpar job on the bosses.
The First game
Arguably one of the best in the series. This doesn't have the ladders that are in the second and third installments, but it has coins and invisible holes ala Zelda 2 (Only if they didn't get the cross). The boss for this game is a gigantic square spikeball that sends a smaller spikeball which you must jump into to kill the boss. the coins and invisible holes do not appear in any other game.
The Sequel
This tries to improve on the issues the plagues the first game by adding on to the game with the ladder function that comes with the platform engine itself. The ladders are actually pillars, which Mario appears behind. The game, which came out exactly one full week later, was still plagued by the fact that it used the standard platform engine, it also added "enemies", fireballs that bounced haphazardly around and had no clear pattern on their movement. The boss in this one is not a boss according to the creator of the series, but rather trap wall that you must run away from with the aforementioned fireballs in certain areas. The "boss"'s graphics are that of one of the enemies in Syobon Action.(The one that throws you)
The Infamous Boss Battle 3
This second sequel is probably the most infamous of them all, with many bad comments and horrid reception. This third game, as with the second and first, uses the same platforming engine, but this time adds in some music stolen from Capcom, bigger wall block grpahics, and "Thwomps" that don't actually act like Thwomps at all. This replaces the pillar ladders seen in previous game with actual ladders, that again, use the default GM graphics. The "Boss" in this game is a gigantic "Thwomp" that Mario must stomp on. However, this boss is incredibly easy and all you really have to do is just jump on once and you will be bounced between the wall and the boss until it's dead. This is most infamous Boss battle game in the series due to the hateful and confusing comments that were left on the game's page between Awesomeface himself and the people who played it and were giving their opinion on it.
Reception
The praise for these games is few and far between. The series might have fared better if it weren't for the laziness of the creator in making them. The third one being most infamous due to the comments left. Awesomeface noticed all of the bad ratings in the reviews and said in a post "Warning: If you rate games of 1/10 & 2/10 & 3/10, i will ban those members who rated bad!" This caused many of the members who simply thought of him as a mediocre game creator to mock this post and lay out the truth for him: He wasn't important enough to ban people, and even f he was, he would need a good reason to ban them. Although most of the reviews call this a bad game series, this does not make it so. The series could use more flair in the graphics and physics department, and some more creativity in the enemies and bosses.
Trivia
Each game has an exclusie feature that is not seen in any other game. The first had coins, the second has fireballs, and the third has thwomps that crush you.
Each game was submitted exactly one full week from each other. This further proves that the game series is actually shovelware.
Awesomeface should be nominated for the newly created fake award know as "Model example of how NOT to treat other members."
