Minigame Competitions
An official contest on MFGG. The rules are simple:
- Make a game that matches with the given topic.
- You can use whatever program you like.
- The winner of the competition is responsible for the next one.
Unlike the other two official competitions, there are no Top 5 badges handed out at the end of the voting. There is simply a "3rd place" badge due to the fact that mini-game competitions do not attract a lot of interest, and therefore not many entries tend to be submitted.
So far there have been 8 competitions. The problem with it is though, that nobody seems to be interested. Usually this is down to the fact that games take more time to complete than sprites or drawings, and therefore not many people have time to finish their entries (Or even start them). Even though minigame competitions are longer than sprite/drawing competitions, it is sometimes still not enough time. Extending the competitions further does not help as people start to get tired of the topic, or forget that it exists. There are also less members with game making skill than spriting and drawing skill.
The member Guinea wants to do something for the competition so that it will become as popular as the official competitions (sprite/drawing).
