Mini-game competitions are official contests on MFGG. The rules are simple:

  • Make a game that matches with the given topic.
  • You can use whatever program you like.
  • The winner of the competition is responsible for the next one.
  • You may not use pre-made engines (not even your own)

So far there have been 44 competitions, although due to a general lack of interest they are not as popular as sprite and Drawing Competitions Usually this is down to the fact that games take more time to complete than sprites or drawings, and therefore not many people have time to finish their entries (Or even start them) despite the fact mini-game competitions tend to be longer. Extending the competitions further does not help as people start to get tired of the topic, or forget that it exists. There are also less members with game making skill than spriting and drawing skill.

The member Guinea wants to do something for the competition so that it will become as popular as the official competitions (sprite/drawing).
