Masahiro Sakurai was a joke account created by GeneralGuy on March 5th, 2008. He was the 5,000th member of MFGG, who tried to trick members into believing that he was really Sakurai and hype them for Brawl's US release.
Upon joining, he created a topic in the Casual Conversation Castle, titled "Attention Brawlers". The thread recieved nearly 200 replies; comments of disbelief and excitement. Eventually, Jeff Silvers banned the Masahiro Sakurai account.
