Mariovania is a metroidvania-style fangame that is made by KoBeWi (with bigpotato redoing the sprites, some of which are in the latest version), which is currently in a beta state. It is a crossover between the Castlevania and Mario games. It was known to be one of the largest completed fangames to be released on MFGG, in terms of game length and content.
Story
The story begins with Mario, who was sleeping until a Toad woke him up. The Toad led Mario outside, and he discovered that a giant castle was placed in front of his house. The Toad said that some people have been sent inside the castle, but they have yet to return. Mario decided to go inside the castle, as the Toad suggested so. The castle door closed once Mario got in.
After getting a bit further inside the castle, Mario will meet a Toad, who will explain that the castle appears to be named Castlevania, and belongs to Count Dracula, who is being controlled by Bowser.
