Mario Toad Hunt is a fangame by Mario350, and is his third one to be shown on MFGG. The demo, which was released on February 24, 2013, features two levels.

Story

Mario ran out of mushrooms one day, so he decided to go out and eat Toads.

Gameplay

Mario is being controlled by the player in this game, who can be able to run, jump, and climb on floating chains. The goal is to eat all of the Toads in the current level, which can be done by simply running into them, without falling into the pitfalls. Coins are found throughout the levels, which give out score when collected. Three different kinds of coins exist in the game, which give out different amount of score. The most common kind is the yellow coins, while the two other kinds are blue and red coins.

Reception

Mario Toad Hunt's reception ranged from negative to mixed. The game is currently Mario350's most well-received game, with an average score of 3.4/10 on the main site. They praised the music choices and how there isn't any game-breaking glitches, but criticized the stretched backgrounds, level design, camera, the fact that the first level can be impossible to beat if a Toad was missed due to lack of back-tracking, and many other things.
