Cancellation
stanleyscup07 officially announced on the official website and MFGG that Mario Kart Quest 2k7 is now CANNED. Quote from official site:
[[MARIO KART QUEST 2k7 IS NOW CANNED! WHICH MEANS 2k8 IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! NOT EVER, NOT NOW!>]]
LakiPlant never knew about the cancellation, until now. On December 19, 2006, stanleyscup07 got a PM from LakiPlant saying this:
[[I didnt know that it was canned you should of pmed me anyway send me flipiberkes game please if its open source please i want to learn how to do 3d >]]
stanleyscup07 sent a reply to his PM:

stanleyscup07 is currently awaiting a reply.
Reason of cancellation
No one knows the reason why stanleyscup07 canned the game, but stanleyscup07 claims that it was because he saw LakiPlant asking others to help build another game. He doesn't know if the game was Mario Kart Quest 2k7 or another different game.
The cancellation is false. It's being can now, but being brought back in 2007.
