Mario -in- Marooned on Mars is a crossover game by SMBMM, in a similar fashion to how Super Mario's Moonwalker, one of his other games, turned out to be. This time, it's a blend of Mario and the original Commander Keen that was released for DOS computers. It has been announced in the forums at October 7, 2011. The forum was originally under "Development Showcase", but it was moved to "Developer Discussion", due to the fact that the forum had no screenshots, files, or anything to actually show.

Promises for full version

During the announcement of the game, SMBMM promised that it there would be an overworld map with secrets, as well as implementing achievements into the game. It's unknown how many achievements will be in the game. Saving and loading your game has also been added.

Demo

So far, the game is still in its early stages of development, but SMBMM had released a demo in the forums (Since the uploading page wasn't working for him) under "Development Showcase" (This time, it's still there instead of being moved).

Reception

Mario -in- Marooned on Mars received very negative feedback on its graphics. The color palette was heavily berated, particularly in regards to enemy graphics, and as such, SMBMM planned to change the enemies into the ones featured in Commander Keen.
