Bio
LuigiM9 joined the main site in mid to late 2012. After failing to create suitable sprites to submit, he turned to making a fan game. It was about a Boo cursed by Kamek or something. After having trouble with the movement engine, VinnyVideo pointed him towards the forums. He joined under the shortened name LuigiM9, but never asked about the game. He was quirky at first because he had never bothered to join a message board before. The first couple of posts he made were pointless and he was still learning the ins and outs of the forums. Soon LuigiM9 started to become a respectable member and made more meaningful posts. Notable things he's done are start three canned projects, tried to join the Charisma team, participate in Isometric Collaboration 6, and here in 2014 joining the wiki.
He picked up his first controller when he was a wee lad of just two years old. He grew up with an SNES, N64, and a GCN. Handhelds I had were a GBC, GBA(SP), DS, and a DSlite. He was always a Mario fan and had played a little bit of Zelda and Kirby. Some of his fondest memories on the Gamecube are from City Trial (Kirby Air Ride), MarioKart: Double Dash (it's still the best) and Super Smash Bros Melee. Mario Party was the big friendship-ruiner, but it was a heck ton of fun. He still owns all of the old consoles and recently got an NES, but his DSlite broke and he traded in the original DS for a 3DS. He still owns a Blue DSi and still make flipnotes on it.
On MFGG
During one of the many days of 2009, he was watching flipnotes on my DSi. It was one of Luigi beating up some Shellcreepers, and at the end, the user had credited MFGG for the sounds and some sprites. He was vaguely interested but not enough to check it out. Fast forward 3 years, he stumbled upon the same flipnote and decided to check it out. He soon became interested in fangaming and spriting. He registered as LuigiMario9 (showing his preference for Luigi over Mario) and started making measley sprite edits. His skills have improved but can be worked on, still. Anyway, he wanted to create a game about a Boo cursed by Kamek or whatever, and was having trouble with the movement. VinnyVideo redirected him to the fourms and lo and behold, he registered as LuigiM9 (Shortened to make referring to me easier). At first he was quite an interesting member; and isn't proud of his first month or so here. At first he had a rocky reception with Vitiman/Rystar, and in Ristar's own words, 'made posts that make no sense'. After getting accustomed to the forums he started making actual contributions!
Scrapped Games
Bowser game: inspired by Onpon4's Bowser's Last Stand.
Boo game: An ordinary Boo is cursed by Kamek. Use shapeshifting powers to turn into other enemies. Might pick this up again.
Mario Shrinks Himself and Grows Again: Not final title. Mario grows and shrinks using special blocks.
Super Mario Breakout: Mix of breakout and platforming. Topic can be found here: [1]
Super Mario Land Remastered (using Mit's Bews series of sprites). He decided to start after CatezeeY cancelled the original project.
Quotes
"catch 102 dalmatians while always having a shyguy as an avatar!" "I honestly think, though, that I'd like to see something really spark here. I've been a dull stub of boredom lately." "Galaga all the way, baby!"
