Kritter was a standard member of MFGG who became staff for his prominent role in creating and maintaining the forums during their transition from ezBoard. He was well-known for his intellectual and argumentative nature and his diverse skill set, particularly digital visual art of all kinds.

It is difficult to list Kritter's forum account due to the fact he has created and deleted at least ten of them over the years. Those who received warns during Kritter's administration have them listed under blank names.

Kritter's character design is coincidentally similar to that of the later Mason, due to the red cloak and optional staff.

He formerly had an unofficial fanbase led by Duckboy, one of his many rivals.

Member History

Arrival

Kritter arrived on MFGG during the Bowser Tech era, at which point he was very new to Mario fangaming and forums in general. He registered on the forums, which at this time were merely a guestbook message centre. He posted a few details about his current project (Luigi Quest), which was met with an enthusiatic response.

He registered when Bowser Tech acquired an actual forum system -- that which later became the ezBoard MFGG Forums -- under the first use of Kritter. Illegal access of his accounts led to several other names, listed under Aliases / Other Names above.

Kritter became respected due to his literacy and general intelligence, and skill at various media, particularly spriting and general fangaming. However, Luigi Quest fell into decline due to the time required to complete it, as the engine became outdated and the levels could use redesign.

The Great Kyle Flamewar brought avoid the temporary leave of Thunder Dragon, who chose Kritter as his stand-in due to his role in abating the resulting chaos and his respect. Kritter was henceforth effectively the second-in-command of MFGG Forums, although he was generally more active than Thunder Dragon.

Administration

During Kritter's administration, a lot of changes happened to both the site and forum. The site was redesigned to the current format it uses today, as opposed to a single-page database of libs and sheets, and he also helped set up the format for the PHP driven site originally. The forums underwent numerous PHP incarnates, including the Invisionboard it uses to date, forum sections, rules, badges and other such ideas were all spawned by Kritter in some form or another, and a lot of the major historical moments in MFGG's history were all influenced or administered by Kritter in some way. He was also responsible for the very first (and often said to be best) MFGG April Fool's Prank and many other things. All said, Kritter has played a huge part in shaping MFGG, though it is often forgotten by the members.

As a member, Kritter was well known for being intelligent and passionate about something he believes in, something that has still not changed to date, though has perhaps become a little overzealous sometimes in its execution. Often engaging in debates with troublesome members such as Nightwing, and ending up writing huge posts to defend his points. Argumentativeness aside, he was also known for being a nice guy with a good sense of humour, as well as a just and fair Admin, until people began to complain all the time about little things, a trend which is still apparent even now on the forums, and widely realised and hated by the current admins. Currently Kritter finds it hard to maintain a good reputation on the boards due to members who refuse to acknowledge that he is not the evil "Kritler" figure that his unfair and unjustified reputation has deemed him to be.

Decline

Kritter suffered from great stress in real life. He eventually banned his own account, resigned as administrator, and left the forums after an argument with ShadowMan.

He did not seek to revoke his ban while he attended college, to avoid procrastination, and visited during the holidays. An argument with Klobber almost led to a permaban but was peacefully resolved over private messages as they both realized their own mistakes.

Kritter occasionally returned to the forums and currently remains in an inactive state.

Moderator

Around June 20th, 2009, Kritter was made a moderator for the General Chat and the CCC by Black Squirrel after he asked in Forum 12 who would make a good addition to the moderation staff, in which numerous mods elected Tri and Kritter. Within a month he's already been a target and source of noisy controversy. He made an announcement on June 24th that "troll ratings" (such as "1/10, lrn2trol") will get members banned. Despite the other mods and admins agreeing to the post and the new rule, Kritter was made the target of several members due to him being the one who posted it, and him being the one trying to uphold the new rule. Several members have posted troll ratings just to spite Kritter and many threads have been made to troll Kritter for his harshness and strictness. He is known to, understandably, make rash decisions when criticized and called out when there are no other mods around.

Despite the controversy however, the end result was justified as troll ratings / reaction images have become a much rarer occurrence on the new forums. During his time as Moderator, Kritter also played an integral role in the testing the new forums, along with other former staff members, taking on the role of temporary admin as well as helping to create new images and settings for the board.

Despite controversies as moderator, Kritter has had the well-being of the board in mind at all times and his theories about how to handle situations in regards to the board have generally ended up correct.

Kritter is currently an observer of the boards and isn't posting often due to study commitments.

Kritter is no longer a moderator on MFGG 3.0.
