Guinea is a well-known member of the forums, who joined on March 15, 2005. He excels in the use of Game Maker and offers aid with it.

Fangames

The most notable fangame created by Guinea is Super Mario Bros. DDX. The game is one of the highest-rated fangames uploaded to the MFGG main site. A spiritual successor of this game is currently in the works, but its 2010 announcement never came.

Super Mario Bros. DDX used All-Mario Engine (AME), which ended up being canceled due to becoming too complex to keep the development up.

A successor to this engine was in the works for a few years, known as GNOME and gnome 2.0 later (and no, this has nothing to do with Linux, or GNU+Linux). Together with Phlegm, a quite powerful but hard to use level editor, gnome 2.0 became a demo for a game known as Super Mario Bros.: Raiders of the Painting Realms. This game however was canceled for similar reasons as AME, despite its positive reception.

Guinea is part of the head of the team behind Mushroom Patrol - The Midas Machine, the Community Fangame Project, along with Chaoxys.

It's good to be the king

On March 10, 2008, Guinea was promoted to fangame mod. On June 13, 2009, he was promoted to Administrator. While Guinea has generally been a very well-liked regular member and moderator, his time as administrator was sometimes tempestuous, especially in later months after disagreements with certain people, particularly Mecha the Slag and Dexy (see also The Bard). In May 2010, Guinea resigned as Admin after a burst of drama in general but stayed on as a Moderator. He remains a moderator after The Split, and in November 2011 he returned to the position of Admin, both on the mainsite and forums, after DJ Yoshiman's resignation.
