Gatete Mario Engine is a series of open-source engines developed by Gatete since February 2008.

D.Y.O.S.M.E

Dark Yoshi Open Source Mario Engine or D.Y.O.S.M.E for short is Gatete's very first engine. This was developed with Game Maker 7

The engine makes use of DnD (Drag and Drop) and it was released on **February 14, 2008**.

Darkyoshi Mario Engine 2

Darkyoshi Mario Engine 2 or DME2 for short is Gatete's second Mario engine. This engine was released on **July 12, 2008**.

The engine makes use of a mix of DnD and GML and was made with Game Maker 7

Darkyoshi Mario Engine 3 (GM7 Version)

This version was made with a mix of DnD and GML, this engine was discontinued after a Game Maker 7 crash. But there's a downloadable copy of it on the old forum archive. This engine was released on April 8, 2008
