Fire Emblem Online is a gaming project announced in late May of 2005.

Intended to bring the MFGG community together into a golden age of friendship, Jeigans, and colosseum abuse, this project has not entered any coherent form of development aside from basic engine creation and is currently in a "thoughtshowering" status. Ryo claims to be writing a story.

The game is limited to PC platforms and will allegedly support full-blown multiplay over any Internet connection, in addition to a campaign mode with an intricate story of Shakespearean quality riddled with lovable characters, a Jeigan or two, and a cute little Est.

Pretended screenshots of the game were provided by Ryo and Draco on several occasions. The expertise of their design led to SonicProject's movement of the game's topic into the Fangame Discussion. The hoax was believed on a level to match that of Super Smash Bros. Online. A few screenshots of the actual engine in both working and non-working stages were provided by Xgoff, who recently created a possible logo. The "developers" occasionally hint that they are making progress, yet whether or not this is true is unknown.

Ryo is currently planning a website to host and carry information of FEO, as well as other games in the official Fire Emblem series.

FEO's failure to come into existence causes it to be mentioned in ways similar to Duke Nukem Forever or "electrical fire"; this is usually done when a hyped game is canned or otherwise never finished.

Trivia

  • Fire Emblem Online is not actually hard-coded into MMF. Instead, it will be made using smaller "modules" (such as battle, character, and map editors). These separate files will be encrypted and run with a central engine.
  • The "modules" may be released for public use after the completion of FEO
  • Kaepora was recently stated as being one of the writers for the game if Ryo returned the favor by creating ending artwork for Thingio. Ryo agreed, but has still not supplied the artwork.
