Does Not Castle is an extremely popular fad that sprung off of a mistranslation. The fad started on January 16, 2015, when an Argentinian user named Koopra posted a thread about World Five of Mario Forever Remake not having a castle level. However, due to the use of Google Translate, his post only said, "does not castle" (which would be more accurately translated as "Does not have a castle"). This mistranslation was immediately brought to attention on the MFGG Skype group, where many members found it to be especially funny. Since then, "does not castle" has been a recurring gag, and many have it (or a variation of it) set as their member title.

Controversy

Like many gags, a large amount of users felt the joke had ran its course after an astonishingly short amount of time, and had become annoyed with it. However, many users still found it to be funny, and have continued to joke about it. On top of this, however, several users thought it was in poor taste and morality to joke about Koopra not knowing how to write his own English. This led some to look down on users who joked about this, from a moral standpoint.

There are many variations of this phrase.
